Give your client a virtual survey experience

Updated over a week ago

There are two ways to share a survey with your client virtually. In this article, we are going to walk through both options and why each will be helpful to you.

Invite a Client

The first way to share a survey is to Invite a Client. By inviting a client, an email will be generated to your client that will invite them click on a ScoutSpace link, set a password and access the client view of your survey. They will be able to view, favorite and comment on buildings. You will also be able to track all their activity in the Activity Feed. This is vital data to help you understand your client interactions and opinions on the properties presented. It is immediate feedback for you as their broker. You will receive an email every time they favorite or comment on a property.

To invite your client to the survey, find and click on the "Invite Client" button at the top of your Map page.

This will navigate you to the Invite Client page. On the left side, you will the number of clients you've added to the survey already. In the center, you will see a section called Invite New Client.

Here, you can enter their name and email. A automated email message will populate the space below. You can edit the body of the email by clicking into the space and changing the message. Click Send Invitation when you're ready to invite your client.

Your client will receive an email with a link to Accept the Invitation to view, favorite and comment on survey you have shared out.

Your client will be taken to the survey link that you have shared. They will be invited to set a password within the survey and hit create account. They will now be able to favorite and comment on the survey, giving you the immediate feedback on the survey.

Share Link with Client

The second way to share your survey virtually is through Share Link. They will be able to access your survey by clicking on the URL from their mobile device, computer or tablet. There is not requirement to set a password or sign in. However, your client will be unable to leave comments or favorite properties on the survey.

When you view your Activity Feed after sharing the link, it will look similar to this:

You will find activity on your feed of your survey and specific properties being viewed.

Find the Share Link button on the virtual map page. Click Share Link to access the custom generated client link for your survey.

In the pop-up, you will see the generated share link. You can click the Copy button to the right of the link in order to copy the link and paste it into the body of an email or text it to your client. You can click the eye button to the right of that to view the survey in Client View. You will be able to experience what your client will see when they access the link.

You can set a password on the survey if you'd like to keep it private by toggling this button on. Enter your custom password in the empty field and click Save Password. The body of a message will automatically pull the password in. You can click Copy Paragraph to add that text into an email or text to your client.

If you have added Password Protection to your survey, this is what it will look like when they navigate to the link you share. They can enter the password you provide for them and it will give them access to the survey.

Client View

Client view is very helpful to see while you are creating your survey. It will give you insight into what your client will be interacting with when they view your survey. For example, any feature fields on a property page that are empty or had a red N/A under them will not show on the client view. In order to review what your client see, either click the eye button next to the Share Link button on the Map View or navigate to an individual building and click Share View. You can also see any activity your client has had on this property in the upper right hand corner indicated by hearts and a comment bubble.
