Build a New Survey Manually

Manually add properties to your survey from either the database or manual entry

Start a New Survey

Beginning in the User dashboard, click New Survey in the upper right hand corner.

A pop up will invite you to give a title to your survey, upload the Client's logo and nest your survey into a Folder. The logo for your client needs to be a png or a jpg here. Click Create Survey once you have completed these steps.

A new survey will be created and a pop up with ScoutMagic settings will appear. You can click out of this pop up as it will only pertain to ScoutMagic.

Add Properties Manually from Database

Click on Add Property on the right side of the screen.

A pop up will show up on your screen called Add Property to Survey. If you have properties in your database and you would like to add those to this survey, begin by typing the address or property name into this field.

As you type, the building records will show up in a drop down menu. You can select the property, then click Add Property and it will be added to your survey as property number 1.

When you manually add a property, it will not automatically display an Available Space. It will show the Property Summary Card, but no financial data or SF will appear on the card.

To choose which available space you'd like to display to your client on this survey, navigate to the Property by clicking on the Name and Address of the building. The Property Page will open. Scroll down to the Available Space section. Find the button Display, Sort & Remove. This will show how many Available Spaces you have associated with this property in parentheses.

A pop-up will show all of the available spaces on this property. They will be listed under the Hidden From This Survey section. Check the Space that you'd like to present to your client on this survey. This will move the Space up into the Included in this Survey section. You will also see a notification Unit Added to Survey in the upper right corner.

Click out of the pop up and see the Space showing as a card under the Available Space section. Click on the Name of the Space to edit the financial data.

Create New Property

Click on Add Property on the right side of the screen.

A pop up will show up on your screen called Add Property to Survey. If you would like to add a net new Property that has never been added to a survey before, click + Create New Property.

You will be taken to the New Property Info page. Here you can enter the Property Name, the Submarket, Address, and more.

Hit Save at the bottom of the page.

Manually Adding Properties After Survey Creation

Once a survey has been created and properties have been added, the option to manually add a building will appear in a new location. To access the Manually Add Property feature, locate the blue Add Property button in the top-right corner and click the accompanying dropdown arrow.

From there, you will find the Manually Add Property feature. You can then add properties the same way as before, either by selecting one from the database or by creating a new property from scratch.
